Roads & Bridges Live: 2011
Roads & Bridges Live expands its reach in 2011 with face-to-face and online educational and networking events.
Continue your Roads & Bridges Live experience with the second of two informative webinars. Access the first archived webinar on the Caldecott Tunnel Project by clicking here. Then, tune in on September 14 at 2 p.m. eastern for a presentation on the design and construction of the new Mississippi River Bridge.
When complete, the bridge will span 1,500 feet, making it the third longest cable-stayed bridge in the United States. The new Mississippi River Bridge will be the first bridge connecting downtown St. Louis and southwestern Illinois in more than 40 years. Interstate I-70 will be rerouted from the Poplar State Bridge to the new Mississippi River Bridge to relieve traffic congestion and promote fewer crashes. Construction is estimated to cost about $640 million. Earn one professional development hour (PDH) by viewing this session online. Click here to register for the September 14 webinar.
Roads & Bridges will continue its series of face-to-face educational and networking events on November 9 and 10, 2011 with a conference in Las Vegas, NV that combines educational sessions led by industry experts with other valuable opportunities to learn innovative techniques from leaders in the field. Earn 16 PDHs by attending all educational sessions at the event.
The event features two educational tracks focused on Paving Innovations and Bridge Infrastructure along with award presentations for the Top 10 Roads and Top 10 Bridges.
